Brooke Marks-Swanson is based in South Bend, Indiana and received her BFA from Indiana University and MFA in Metals from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana. Her knitted leather work is influenced by landscape and is created to shield us from the environment and act as a form of expression and a universal language. Connecting stitch to stitch, Marks-Swanson seeks to understand the human connection between the land and the body.
